William Levy At Last Tackles Hollywood With Three Film Roles!

Congrats to William Levy for at last breaking through in Hollywood! It's about damn time! He will soon begin filming roles in three flicks: Addicted, Tyler Perry's Single Mom's Club and Rio Sangre.

Will has begun shooting scenes in Atlanta for Addicted, an erotic thriller based on the book written by best-selling author Zane. In that film, he will share the screen with Boris Kodjoe. He joins Sharon Leal, Tasha Smith, Emayatzy Corinealdi and Tyson Beckford.

After Thanksgiving, Levy will also begin filming scenes for Single Mom's Club (god, I hate when director's put their own names in the film's title; so pretentious...). He will play a character named Manny. Let's hope that Manny translates to "man" and that he takes off his shirt. A lot. Britches, too, would be just fine, thanks.

In the horror-western Rio Sangre, Levy has the role of Brujo. Chris Wyatt is directing. The flick is being written by William Bivins and Ken Karn. Alex Vega also is attached to star.

Both films are expected to be in theaters in 2013. Most recently Levy recurred on VH1′s Single Ladies and starred in Univision’s Sortilegio and the telenovela Triunfo del Amor.

Of course, earlier this year, he brought ABC's dusty ole Dancing With the Stars some of its highest ratings ever. Can't wait to see William's star rise high! *

William Levy: 'I Would Love To Play William Grey'

As casting buzz ramps up for the big-screen adaptation of steamy bestseller 50 Shades of Grey, William Levy continues to come into view. He tells Celebuzz: "If the opportunity comes for me to play this role, it would be amazing. It’s a great book…[and] every day I hear about it. I see the fans saying it all over. I would love to do it.”

See the video interview here. And check out the awesome WILLIAM LEVY IS WILLIAM GREY Facebook page here.

Will adds, "Girls would come up to me and say, ‘You should play this!' When I started reading it, I started looking at these girls in a different way. I was like, you want me to play this role? Oh man! Now I know how you are... Guys should always be like this!"

For now, Levy is slated to star in Tyler Perry‘s new movie, set to begin filming in September: “I feel very honored to be part of it and have one of the lead roles next to him. It’s a romantic comedy. I wish I could tell you more about the story more but I cannot.” Let's just hope he's not appearing in drag, eh. *

William Levy To Star In Tyler Perry Flick?

According to a new Q&A with William Levy, he may be appearing in the next Tyler Perry movie project... as god-awful as that sounds. He told Ministry of Gossip, "Right now, I feel very blessed, let me tell you, because I had a meeting with Tyler Perry a couple weeks ago and now I have the opportunity to lead in one of his next projects, which starts filming in September. It’s a romantic comedy and, you know, I love love."

Will was also asked if he has a girlfriend. Fortunately for the world at large, he responded, "A girlfriend? I have lots of girlfriends, all over the country. You think I’m kidding? I’m dead serious. Girlfriends everywhere." *

At Last: William Levy Lines Up A Hollywood Film Project: 'Boom Town'

At last... William Levy has been cast in a Hollywood film. Scheduled for release in the summer of 2013, he will star in Boom Town, alongside Chris Molina,Chris Cooper and Danny Trejo. The "western drama" will have Will in the role of businessman Diego Coronado, who has an 8 year old daughter, Chloe (yawn!!).

Levy says of the flick, "I love Boom Town because it is a love story between a man and a woman, and about the unbreak- able obligation between a parent and child. This is about a man whose daily struggle to become a hero is something we all dream of when we are kids." (Uh, I'm not sure that quite made it out of Spanish into English... kind of makes little sense, eh?)

The film is set in Tijuana in 1905, when it was considered a fashionable place of the Old West, where there was plenty of drinking, gambling and women. Coronado's (Levy) tranquility is disturbed when his daughter is kidnapped and the bar is robbed, which calls on a band of gunmen to rescue Chloe.

Director Oscar Torres says that Boom Town "is a great story that will appeal to men and women alike. The men love the action and women love the charm and talent that someone like William Levy brings to the big screen." Hey, Oscar. Don't doubt for a minute that there are plenty of men also loving William's charm and talent! *

Could William Levy Be William Grey In 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'?

Following his star-making turn in reality show Dancing With The Stars, it's time for William Levy to make his next major move. If he truly wants to transition to the big screen as a potential Hollywood A-lister, time's ticking, baby. His recent turn in VH1's Single Ladies was a sweet distraction, but isn't going to propel him any further.

I'm still steamed that in August, Will turned down the role of a lifetime in Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike, which has turned into a smash flick, and certainly would have amped his exposure to a mainstream American audience.

So how about this? Erotic romance trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey by British author E. L. James has become the talk of Tinseltown. The book has supplanted Hunger Games on the New York Times Bestseller List, sold 20 million copies worldwide with movie rights secured by Universal Pictures. Names are being tossed about to play the lead roles of Christan Grey (& Anastasia Steele), including Max Irons, Matt Bomer, Chris Pine, Kellan Lutz, Alex Pettyfer, Ryan Gosling and Henry Cavill. There is also a grass-roots effort to bring Levy's attention to producers, including a Facebook page dedicated to casting Will.

The character of Christian Grey possesses model good looks, he's a dashing billionaire with limitless power, humor and and a beseeching dark side. Most of all, he's a sexual dynamo. Sounds like Will to me, cool cats. While casting is still years away, online petitions and swoon-worthy discussions are blanketing the web with suggestions of the ideal Grey.

According to webbie Penguincookies, "William Levy would be the unconventional choice to play Christian Grey. The man embodies the definition of good looking. William has the height, body and sultry eyes, and this role may be his ticket to stardom in the States. The movie just may profit from the millions of ladies that already swoon over him."

Time will tell, although to be honest, Levy is already Grey in our little world, as the Sexiest Man Alive. *

Stripper Flick 'Magic Mike' Continues To Add To Hottie Cast

Steven Soderbergh's highly anticipated upcoming stripper flicker Magic Mike continues to add to its cast, although it appears the A-level is complete and they're now signing on bottom feeders—and the ladies.

In addition to yummy Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer, People en Español reports that full-figured Mexican-American comedian Gabriel Iglesias, somewhat known for his routine I'm Not Fat... I'm Fluffy and Hot & Fluffy, will play a club DJ. What a shame it's not Enrique or Julio Jr.

In addition, some women have joined Magic Mike, including Cody Horn, who will play the sister of an up-and-coming male dancer played by Pettyfer and Tatum's love interest. Horn is the daughter of former Warner Bros. Entertainment president/COO Alan Horn, who has used daddy's connections for bit parts on NBC’s The Office and FX’s Rescue Me, and a role alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in drama End of Watch.

Model/"actress" Riley Keough, 22, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley (and obviously granddaughter of Elvis Presley), has also signed on. She co-starred in The Runaways with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.

In other Magic Mike tidbits: Lindsay Lohan had approached Soderbergh for a role in the movie, but was turned down flat... Jessica Biel refused an offer to be involved... Rumors continue to swirl that Demi Moore may have an integral role... Soderbergh is apparently casting three women to accompany the boys in the club... The director has alluded to full-frontal nudity as a must-have in a stripper flick. And how!

Of course, we were dealt a blow last week when a news report that William Levy had joined the cast proved to be premature. The telenovela actor had been offered a role—which surely would have propelled him to mainstream stardom—but inexplicably turned it down. Dumb!

The $20 million film, billed on IMDb as a comedy, is due in 2012.

William Levy Refuses Role Of A Lifetime In Soderbergh's 'Magic Mike'

In a move that would have propelled him from minor-league Spanish-language telenovela hottie to legitimate Hollywood actor, William Levy has inexpicably passed on the role of a lifetime: joining the all-star cast of Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike.

We reported Friday that he was joining the film, which stars Channing Tatum as a lap-dancing Florida stripper, along with Alex Pettyfer, Matt McCounaughey and Matt Bomer.

According to People en Espanol, he is instead "looking for other projects in Hollywood." Levy's manager Gladys Gonzalez—who should be fired for not guiding her client to stardom—confirmed that he received an offer to appear in the sexy flick, but "will not be involved."

So Will would rather always be known as "the guy in the Jennifer Lopez video"? As we know, Levy stirred a maelstrom of publicity as the entertainer's delicious beach boy in "I'm Into You," soon after which it was announced that JLo and Marc Anthony were divorcing. The ensuing press is the best thing that ever happened to Levy's career.

I am disappointed, but more so, dumbfounded. William has never shied from parading around in his skivvies and certainly has the bod to make the moves. Boo, hiss.

BREAKING NEWS: William Levy Joins Cast Of Stripper Flick 'Magic Mike'

After spending years acting in mid-rent Spanish-language telenovelas, William Levy's steamy presence in Jennifer Lopez's "I'm Into You" music video has helped propel The Smoking Gun favorite to the Hollywood mainstream, joining the cast of upcoming major motion picture Magic Mike, directed by Oscar-winning Steven Soderbergh (Erin Brockovich, Oceans Eleven, etc., Sex, Lies and Videotape), JustJared reveals.

The movie, which stars hottie Channing Tatum, is about the actor's days as a teen working as a g-string, lap-dancing stripper at Florida club Male Encounter, who schools a protege—played by former Gap & Burberry model Alex Pettyfer—on how to hustle on- and offstage.

Also recently joining the cast: ever-delicious Matthew McConaughey, playing a stripper-turned-club owner named Dallas; White Collar blue-eyed beauty Matt Bomer and—on the verge of signing—True Blood’s Joe Manganiello, who would play stripper "Big Dick Richie."

A source told JustJared, “Will is ready to heat up the silver screen. Just wait till you see his stripping moves." Oh, I have been imaging just that for so many months.
