It so could have gone either way Monday night, following Will Levy's torn ankle ligament... but as he explained later, the Cuban-American was determined to triumph on DWTS's Latin week... out of a sense of national pride, if nothing else.
You can see the relief... and sense of triumph on his beautiful face after he and partner Cheryl Burke delivered the goods in what was a challenging, sensual Tango. The judges were certainly impressed, awarding the duo a score of 29/30—following last week's dismal and disillusioning low of 24/20.
Onward and upward, as Season 14 reaches its halfway point. Now if only annoying Katharine Jenkins would move out of the way, we'd have an all-clear for William Levy to take home the crown. *
